Terry Roth
The PebbleCreek Irish American Club’s annual Holly Ball was another huge success. The night began with kilt-clad greeters at the door, followed by cocktails, appetizers, and a delicious dinner. Guests had their choice of one of three dinner selections – salmon with Guinness glaze, petite beef medallions with a burgundy demi, or roasted apple bacon chicken with Irish whiskey cream sauce, each served with mashed colcannon potatoes and Haricot Vert. A turtle cheesecake with a shamrock flag finished the meal. Each person attending received a gift of a stemless wine glass, etched with the Claddagh symbol representing Love, Loyalty, and Friendship. Ticket stubs were drawn for a chance to win one of 17 beautiful gift baskets valued at over $100 each. Dancing to the music of the Thaddeus Rose Trio topped off the evening. A special thanks goes to committee chair Terry Roth and members Maureen Pugsley, Lisa Greenhoot, June Flynn, Jan Kirk, Susan Kice, and Trudy Chambers. A big thank you also goes to Carol Crawford, Jackie MacKenzie, and Karen Berner, for helping with gift-wrapping, decorations, check-in, and clean up. The club’s photographer Bob Higgins, captured everyone enjoying the evening’s festivities.
Mark your calendars for our 2020 Holly Ball on Dec. 11!
