The beginning pottery class is the essential class for learning the tools and techniques for making any handmade clay project. The beginning class always makes three to five beautiful projects, including an embossed bowl, a luminaria or brush/utensil pot, a traditional Japanese-style bottle with a sculptural spout, and unique and creative scrap bowls.
By the end of the class, students are fully equipped to work independently on projects of their own choice.
Examples of projects made in the beginning class are on view in the display case outside the pottery room in the Creative Arts Center.
While in the Creative Arts Center, take a few minutes to check out the Expressions Gallery, where sign-up sheets for future classes sponsored by the Pottery Club can be found, and look at all the beautiful art for sale created by artists in PebbleCreek.
