Susan Anne Veronica-Corrigan-Carter

Suzie Carter, beloved wife of David and friend of many, died of endometrial cancer at 3:35 p.m. on April 6 at the Hospice of the Valley in Surprise, Arizona. She was born on May 24, 1950 in Alsager, England to Philip and Brigid Corrigan and was raised and educated in the Staffordshire County city of Newcastle-Under-Lyme. She worked in the catering industry in London from 1970 until 1983. She met her husband David, a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Marine Corps, in London and they returned to the U.S.A and were married in Alexandria, Virginia. They moved to Escondido, California in 1988 and to Goodyear, Arizona in 2003. Suzie is survived by her husband and step-children Ross, Elizabeth and Alexander and their families, as well as her brother-in-law Jack and her sister Margaret and brother James.

Joanne Neumann

Joanne Neumann, known to many as Joey McKay, was born January 7, 1936 to Jimmy and Helen Richardson in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. She died March 31, 2017 at the age of 81. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister and husband, Jan and Dave Pinto. She is survived by her husband Rollin Neumann, brother Dennis Richardson (Sam) and brother-in-law Nyle Neumann along with many cousins, nieces and nephews. She graduated from Fond du Lac High School in 1954. Joey was affiliated with Miss Oshkosh and Miss Wisconsin Scholarship Pageants since 1966. She served as president of the Miss Wisconsin Pageant when Miss Wisconsin became Miss America. She judged numerous pageants throughout the state and attended many Miss America Pageants in Atlantic City as a Wisconsin delegate. Joey was a past president of the Oshkosh area Women’s Division as well as an Ambassador for the Chamber of Commerce. She was a former stewardess from Braniff Airways, North Central and served part-time for Basler Charter Airlines Oshkosh on weekends. Joey retired from the Oshkosh Care Center as Director of Admissions. During her retirement years she was a Tour Director for Travel Leaders and Lamer’s Bus Company. Joey enjoyed clogging, line dancing, golf and downhill skiing. Joey also received three awards for Distinguished Service, Meritorious and Iranian of the Year. For many years she and her husband traveled as snowbirds to Arizona until she moved to Goodyear, Arizona full time in 2015.

Ruthann Peluso

Ruthann Peluso, of Goodyear, Arizona passed away April 5, 2017. She was born May 15, 1930 in Atchison, Kansas to Glen and Ruth Reece.

Ruth was blessed with a wealth of creative ability. She started her own catering service where she loved to create and share her own unique recipes specializing in holiday candy and cakes. Her generous, giving nature and love for others led her to share her baking talents by providing cookies for funeral services at her church. She joined arts and crafts at PebbleCreek where she created beautiful artwork for her family and friends. Ruth loved traveling and spent time in Africa, Germany and Hong Kong. She enjoyed golf, swimming and entertaining, loved football, betting on it and playing poker; however, nothing brought Ruth more pleasure than being surrounded by her friends and family.

Ruthann is survived by her husband Joseph F. Peluso, daughters Debra Mays and Pamela Vavra, son Steven Mays, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.
