Heating up and holidays

Summer is approaching which means warmer (ok – hot!) weather. Have you ever wondered how many things you could do during the Arizona warm (hot!) season? Come to the ceramics room and stay cool, connect with fellow PCers and try your hand at a new skill! The ceramics room will be open every day. We currently have two wonderful and knowledgeable teachers available to assist you. Wendy Pomeroy is available on Monday from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and Tuesday from 6:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Wendy is also available on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. If teacher assistance isn’t needed, you are welcome to come in and work on your project(s) on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. A monitor will be there to assist you with purchasing any supplies, paints or greenware that you may need. If you are a later riser and enjoy sleeping in a bit, Thursday and Friday are your days to come to ceramics. Our teacher Sharon Pelikan is available from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and will guide students through their projects too! Both teachers are willing and eager to help you begin a project or finish a project. All are welcome to create unique, personalized decorations for your home or to give as gifts.

Our window display for the next couple of months will feature member projects of the holidays: Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas! This is a great time to come and see what our members have been up to and help jump start the holidays. The holidays are fast approaching; this is a great time to start planning!
