Lucy and Neil Saling
Lucy and Neil Saling quietly celebrated 60 years of marriage on January 4, 2018. The couple were married in Corvallis, Oregon while completing their studies at Oregon State College. They moved to PebbleCreek in 2003, making it their 25th move. Neil is retired from the US Army after 30 years and remains active in Masters Track and Field. Lucy chairs the PEO Chat Group and co-chairs the annual Oregon/Idaho picnic. She is also active in the Breast Cancer Support Group. Both are enthusiastic travelers. The couple have three children and four grandchildren. When not in PebbleCreek, they make their home in Portland, Oregon.
Joan and Kenneth Sloat
Joan and Kenneth Sloat recently celebrated their 60th anniversary this past December. Attending the celebration were their three children, Christine (Mark) Weaver, Douglas (Tina) Sloat and Margo (Peter) Mahoney and their four grandchildren, Ryan Rude, Megan Domingo, Shea Mahoney, and Kendra Mahoney as well as their great grandchild, Kaylee Rude. The couple was married in St. Mary’s Church, Sterling, Illinois. Joan and Kenneth became residents of PebbleCreek in May of 2000. They enjoy having their entire family located in the Phoenix area, traveling abroad, and the many activities that are available in PC.
