Rodney and Carolyn Suttles celebrate 25 years
Congratulations to Rodney and Carolyn Suttles on 25 years of marriage. Rodney and Carolyn were both born and raised in Detroit, MI. They met in 1982 through a mutual friend and sparks flew, but the time wasn’t right. They lost contact for 10 years, then one destined night, they happened to run into each other at a popular night club. It was love at second sight. From then on, they were a couple. They took their vows in 1993 and their two lives became one.
Rodney worked for Marathon Oil Refinery for 30 years in several positions and retired as an environmentalist and Carolyn was a manager at AT&T for 30 years. Carolyn retired in 1995 and waited patiently for Rodney to retire which was two years later. They had looked at several retirement areas throughout the states, but after visiting some friends in Scottsdale for four years prior, they decided that Arizona was a great place to retire. They came to PebbleCreek in 1998 and found their oasis in the desert.
They celebrated their anniversary on July 2 with a quiet dinner, but the real celebration will take place on a 14-day cruise to the British Isles. Rodney was stationed in the Navy in Scotland and looks forward to that special two-day stop over to reminisce.
They have two sons, Anthony and Rodney II and two grandsons, Derrick and Kandon.
