About 25 rifle enthusiasts competed in the Gun Club’s first competition of the season held Oct. 28 at Joe Foss shooting range near Buckeye. Shooters chose up to two events for which they were eligible to demonstrate their short-range skills. The top shooters in each category received cash prizes. The club awards trophies to the top three scorers in each category across all shooting competitions at its annual awards dinner in April.
