On Jan. 10, Goodyear PebbleCreek Rotary Foundation held a Casino Night Fundraiser at the Tuscany Falls Ballroom. Over 120 attendees had fun playing slot machines, blackjack, bingo, craps, and roulette, using their winnings to win fabulous prizes! At the end of the evening, attendees participated in a live auction, showcasing the talents of Rotarian and auctioneer Kit Bowman.
Goodyear PebbleCreek Rotary Foundation, a 501(c)(3) entity, is dedicated to supporting community organizations and events in the West Valley. The funds from Casino Night will be used to support literacy and youth events in the West Valley. Goodyear PebbleCreek Rotary Foundation supports literacy through two major projects: The Dolly Parton Imagination Library and Little Lending Libraries.
Through The Dolly Parton Imagination Library, children from birth to age 5 can receive a free book a month to promote literacy at home. The Goodyear PebbleCreek Rotary Foundation enrolls and pays the enrollment fees for families living within specific Zip codes in the West Valley.
Goodyear PebbleCreek Rotary Foundation has funded the building of 10 Little Libraries, which have been placed in various locations around the West Valley. Books for children, youth, and adults are stocked in each library. The libraries are maintained by Rotarians from the club.
Goodyear PebbleCreek Rotary Foundation supports other youth education activities such as funding RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Activities) and Junior RYLA leadership camps, college scholarships for high school seniors, and scholarships to area community colleges and trade schools.
Goodyear PebbleCreek Rotary Foundation would like to thank all who attended Casino Night. Your enthusiasm, generosity, and full participation made for a fabulous evening! We are looking forward to making this an annual event!
