Our PCM9GA is so very proud and ecstatic to announce the results of our tenth annual Club Championship which was held as a two stage event on March 3 and 10 utilizing our Tuscany Lakes and Palms Courses.
The Arizona late winter weather for our 1:00 p.m. tee off times was simply awesome and a total of 96 PCM9GA energetic golfers participated in four flights, the A, B, C and D groups, based upon their established AGA handicaps. The net scoring as per usual for each participant was adjusted on that basis allowing anywhere from a no-stroke to two-stroke reduction from their gross score for each hole. Historically our PCM9GA mode of operation is typically so very low key and stress free but for events such as our Club Championship event, mental toughness becomes almost as important as golfing ability and our winners are all to be congratulated for keeping their cool and not losing it over an inadvertent bad shot or bad hole.
Hats off to Rick Goodwin who handily won honors for the Low Gross Championship title with an astounding score of 76. Both Marion Helton and John Ward came through big time in capturing the PCM9GA Club Championship Low Net Award with identical net scores of 59. Congratulations to all our winners as follows:
