We had another wonderful class of PebbleCreekers eager to learn about fusing glass. Our studio was a fun place to be with all the enthusiasm from the students, instructor, and her helpers as the first projects were completed. Unfortunately, students also saw firsthand what can happen when glasses of two different COEs, or coefficient of expansion, are used together. That student was given replacement materials. Different COEs mean that the glasses will expand and contract at different rates when heated, which can lead to incompatibility and breakage.
Our next and final Beginners Class of 2025 will be held in October. Watch for announcements going out on PebbleCreek Facebook and the egroup in mid to late September.
