Twenty-four members of the Gimmee Girls golf group traveled to Sedona for their annual getaway on May 7 to 9. They hit the links at Sedona Golf Resort and Oak Creek Country Club. The weather was a little nippy the first day and the greens were fast, but neither prevented the group from enjoying the beauty of the Sedona golf courses and the camaraderie of a great group of friends. The first night the ladies gathered at the hotel for a casual dinner and a rousing game of Family Feud. The outing culminated on the second night with an awards dinner at an historic local restaurant, Relic’s. The first place winners of the game of COD on the Sedona Golf Resort course were Gen Hunter, Jillayne Payne, Irene Bates and Kathleen Yaremchuk. And on the Oak Creek Course, the winners of 3-2-1 were Syd Mersereau, Barb Chilton, Irene Bates and Diane Galewski. The Closest to the Pin winners were Judy Layton and Jillayne Payne and the winners of the Straightest Drive were Connie Steckler and Irene Bates.
