It’s January which means that the PebbleCreek Musicians have already been rehearsing for three months for their spring 2015 concert at the end of March. Burst of Music VIII promises to be an evening of great music with something for everyone.
This year the Big Band, under the direction of Bruce Birnel, will perform selections made popular by Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, The Temptations and Tom Jones. The numbers will range from classic swing, jazz and Latin sounds to Broadway and movie theme songs. In addition, well known PebbleCreek vocalists Chanca Morrell and Barry Jeannelle will perform with the band. And you can expect some laughs throughout the evening since ventriloquist Jerry Layne and friend will once again be the emcees.
Burst of Music VIII will run three nights from Thursday, March 26 to Saturday, March 28 in the Renaissance Theatre. Tickets, which are $15, do not go on sale until March 7, but be sure to make a note of this date on your calendar because this show often sells out quickly.
