Bill Barnard, General Manager
As we start a new year, I wanted to take some time in this month’s message to look back at 2019, as well as look forward to some of what we can expect in 2020.
2019 was a very good year for PebbleCreek Operations and I’d like to share some of the major accomplishments achieved last year by the operations team. In reviewing the year, we were able to accomplish an overwhelming number of projects; just some highlights include:
* The completion of a major renovation to the Eagle’s Nest Fitness Center and locker rooms to include expansion and addition of new and updated equipment.
* Complete replacement of the cool decking at the Eagle’s Nest pool.
* Addition of large walk-in beer cooler at the Eagle’s Nest Bar.
* Complete renovation of Activities Building Room 108 to house the Community Services/Patrol Department.
* Renovation of the Palm Room bathrooms and tiling of foyer area at Eagle’s Nest Clubhouse.
* Replacement of street signs at Tuscany Falls.
* Complete renovation of locker rooms at the Tuscany Falls Fitness Center.
* Replacement of lighting at the Tuscany Falls Clubhouse.
* Numerous common area light replacements and concrete repairs.
* Polychip of Unit 6 at Eagle’s Nest.
* Resurfacing of Tennis Courts 12 and 13 at Tuscany Falls.
* Interior common wall painting of Tuscany Falls.
These are just a few of the many projects, improvements, and upgrades that were carried out in 2019. All of our departments shared in many successes as well. The Activities Office saw record sales, attendance, and event participation and had to add more second shows than ever in their history. Food and Beverage operations offered a wider array of special event and themed food events than ever before. The Community Services team reports an increase in people coming through our gates and receiving services at our front desks. We are a thriving and busy community, and I am proud of all that our operations team has accomplished in 2019.
As I look to 2020, we have already started our major project of the renovation of the Eagle’s Nest golf course irrigation system, greens, and bunkers. We have also started the painting of the interior common walls and drainage way wrought iron fencing on the Eagle’s Nest side. We are working on the replacement of furniture, artwork, and ballroom lighting at the Eagle’s Nest Clubhouse as well as the replacement of carpeting at the Tuscany Falls Clubhouse. We will be installing ADA compliant automatic doors at the Tuscany Falls Clubhouse (similar to what we have at the Eagle’s Nest Clubhouse). We will continue to maintain our many miles of roads to include crack fill, which is going on now, and patch repair, polychip, and seal coating throughout the year. We are hosting the annual Robson Chef’s Gala at PebbleCreek in January as well as the Pickleball Club tournament and RCI’s DesertFest in February. PebbleCreek will continue to thrive and I hope you will all enjoy what we have to offer as 2020 promises to be a great year.
