Bill Barnard, general manager
The hustle and bustle of the holiday season is in full swing. It seems like summer has just ended and before we know it, a new year will be upon us. Thanksgiving, set right in the middle of the holiday season, came later in the month this year and for many of us, the smell of pumpkin pie and roast turkey is still lingering in the house as December begins. But before we look to those December holidays and a new year, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on this treasured holiday, and to share a reminder of the true meaning behind Thanksgiving.
For many of us, the holiday centers around a grand feast of turkey with all the trimmings, the big parade, a football game, and time with family and friends. It is also a day of thanks; the word thanksgiving is literally the two words…thanks and giving.
It is in this spirit that I want to take a moment to recognize just some of the volunteers that give; these people help make operating our community possible. Thanks to the men and women who serve on the HOA committees which include the Architecture and Landscape Committee, Golf, Election, and Rules Committees. The many hundreds of hours these individuals devote each year is truly an act of giving. Thank you to each of the Committee Chairs and to the groups of volunteers that make up the committees. Also, a special thanks to our resident Board members, Bob Parks and Steve Harper, who serve as volunteers to give back to PebbleCreek. I would also like to thank the two large clubs that serve the entire community. The hundreds of volunteers for the Kare Bears and LifeLong Learning give generously to help and enrich our community. Finally, a special thanks to all the other volunteers who give their time in any capacity, your selfless efforts are appreciated and valued.
On behalf of my entire operations team, we want to thank all of the wonderful volunteers of PebbleCreek and wish you all a wonderful holiday season!
