General Manager’s Message

Bill Barnard

As we step into a new year, I want to take a moment to share some highlights of what we accomplished in 2024 and talk about some of our upcoming projects for 2025. I’m optimistic about what lies ahead and confident that we will continue to achieve good things for our community and continue to grow.

The major project completed at the end of last year was the renovation of Toscana’s Restaurant, transforming it into the new Westwind Tavern. It was a long process but the result is fantastic. We underwent a complete facelift and changed, or improved, almost every area of the restaurant. The interior was completely gutted, walls were moved to increase space and open the area, a large indoor-outdoor bar was added, a large pizza oven was installed, new restrooms and a snack bar were installed, and everything old was replaced. Just some of the new items on the interior of the building include flooring, furniture, lighting, windows, doors, walls, ceiling, restrooms, plumbing, electrical, walk-in coolers, televisions, and much more. On the exterior of the building, we completely redid the patio to include new concrete, and furniture. We also repaired the entire roof, renovated the courtyard, removed the putting green, and installed a game area and landscaping behind the building as well as painting the entire building a new color. It is a completely new space and feel that has already improved the food and beverage experience at Tuscany Falls.

Another major construction project that was completed early in 2024 was the addition and opening of our North Pickleball complex. RCI (Robson Communities, Inc.) added 16 new pickleball courts and a wonderful facility in the north portion of our property that has been well received and has relieved the pressure on our central courts. It’s been a busy place.

Other major projects completed the past year include the painting of the exterior common walls at Eagle’s Nest, cool deck replacement at the pools, the addition of a pergola at the Tuscany Falls Kiddy Pool, asphalt replacement of the westbound lane of Clubhouse Drive from the Gatehouse to the Sales Center, camera upgrades at the Eagle’s Nest clubhouse, and numerous HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning) replacements on various buildings. In addition to the major efforts, there were many other smaller projects done to ensure we keep PebbleCreek in great shape.

Now, on to planned upcoming projects for 2025; these include the painting of the interior common walls at Tuscany Falls, resurfacing of tennis courts 1-6 and lighting improvements, roadwork to replace the eastbound side of Clubhouse Drive from Sales Center to the Gatehouse as well as patch repair, crack seal, sealcoat, and slurry seal in various areas throughout the property. We look forward to the installation of an automated door at the Creative Arts Center, a deep and thorough cleaning of all the tile at the Tuscany Falls indoor pool, and many other planned smaller-in-scale projects throughout the year. Of course, our team is nimble and ready for those unplanned items as well, because we all know those happen too, whether it’s weather-related, an accident outside our control, or just some equipment that fails.

We will keep the community updated on our HOA website and in our various communications tools like PebbleNews and this, my monthly message, on these projects as we go through the year. I am proud of our operations team as they continue to keep PebbleCreek the premiere community that it is. We are looking forward to another successful year. Our team wishes you and your loved ones a year filled with health, happiness, and endless possibilities.
