As we approach the holidays, especially the Thanksgiving holiday, I am reminded of how much I am thankful for. Having worked here now for 18 years, I have seen this community grow from a small grouping of neighborhoods surrounded by cotton and rose fields, to the place so many thousands now call home. When people ask me what is so special about PebbleCreek, the answer is easy; it’s the people and their spirit of giving back. As I talk with homeowners it’s nice to see and hear about the many ways people give back to the community; neighbors helping neighbors.
In my message this month, I wanted to take a moment to recognize and thank a special group of those who give back; the individuals who volunteer to serve on HOA committees. These are the volunteers of the ALC, Golf, Election and Rules Compliance Committees. These four HOA committees work under the direction of the HOA Board to ensure our community is in compliance with our CCRs and that homeowner needs are being addressed. The many hundreds of hours these individuals devote each year is truly an act of giving back. Thank you to each of the Committee Chairs and to the groups of volunteers that make up the committees. I’d also like to thank the spouses and family members of these volunteers, the support they give their loved ones allowing them to devote so much time to the community is truly appreciated.
As I interact with our volunteers, I am amazed at the depth and diversity of talents that they offer; doctors, lawyers, CPAs, surgeons, CEOs, Admirals and Generals, artists, athletes, musicians, actors and so much more. While I know that all volunteers give selflessly and without the expectation of being recognized or rewarded, I would like to do just that. For every person here in PebbleCreek, who volunteers in any capacity, please know that your volunteerism is recognized, appreciated and valued. Thank you.
