The West Valley Genealogical Society will hold their annual Seminar on Feb. 21, 2026. It’s a day full of information on finding your roots. See azwvgs.org/education/seminar for more information.
What did you miss? On Dec. 8, 2025, members gathered at the Oasis Pool for our annual Christmas social. We had a potluck brunch and were warmed by visiting with our fellow genealogists. A shout out to Sally Sullivan for organizing the event.
The 2026 Board of Directors was presented: President Vicky Ferraresi, Vice President Kevin Campbell, Treasurer Judy Husk, Secretary Mary Winter, and Member-at-Large Barb Downey. The new Board has a lot of ideas for the coming year. PCGC is in good hands!
Thanks again to the Nominating Committee (Donna Payne, Kathy Koch, and Emma Mosley) who recruited the candidates and facilitated the election and to the 2025 Board.
At our November meeting Suzanne Young Brayer presented “The Mayflower: An Interesting Mix of Passengers.” Members enjoyed learning about her insights on these ancestors.
Support PCGC. PCGC is having a See’s Candy Valentine’s Day fundraiser. The window to order is now through Jan. 30 with orders starting to ship on Jan. 14. Go to pebblecreekgenealogy.club and click on the fundraiser link to support our club.
On the social front. The PCGC Mahjong Group is having lots of fun. Everyone enjoyed learning California Mahjong. It’s easy, especially if you play Gin Rummy, and does not use a card. We play at least two Monday or Wednesday afternoons a month. Members can contact Vicky Ferraresi at viferra@outlook.com if interested in playing this fun game.
Monthly luncheons at Eagle’s Nest continue to be held on alternating Mondays and Thursdays. Sign–ups for members willing to host (make the reservations and send invitations) will be available at the January meeting.
Genealogy Detectives can assist members on starting their research or help when they are “stuck.” Sometimes it is just a matter of getting organized or getting assistance on where or how to start searching for your family. The Genealogy Detectives can help jump-start your search.
Visit our website at pebblecreekgenealogy.club for more information about PCGC. General information is open to all site visitors with additional content (including Genealogy Detectives) available to members only. This is a member benefit and another great reason to join PCGC.
Questions? Contact Vicky Ferraresi at viferra@outlook.com about the PCGC.
Hope to see you as we learn more about discovering our families!
