A good time was had by all at the fourth annual Fun Line Dance Club’s Country Dance March 1 in the Eagle’s Nest Ballroom from 7:00 to 10:30 p.m. Rochelle Thurm and her trusty “angels” Kathy Fredo, Bob Bowman, Marion Long, Sissy Hungerford and Karen Mack demonstrated dances learned on Thursdays at the club’s weekly dance classes before participants took to the floor. The DJ for the evening, Jim Allen, did a fabulous job of keeping dancers on the floor with beginners, intermediate and occasional two-step dances, as Jobe Overton, the bartender, provided excellent bar service. Over 100 people attended this Western themed celebration complete with party decorations and table treats. According to long time members Tom and Cheyenne Duross it was the best dance in PebbleCreek again this year. Mike Stephens, who has attended all our annual dances, said, “the dance was the best one yet, the DJ was great as always and there were more people on the floor dancing and smiling than ever before.”
While the dance is the highlight of the season, the Thursday club classes continue in the Eagle’s Nest Ballroom providing instruction from 1:00-2:30 p.m. for beginner dancers and 2:30-3:30 p.m. for intermediate dancers. The fifth annual Fun Line Dance Club’s Country Dance will be held March 13, 2020.
