In honor of Flag Day, Raceway Elks Lodge No. 2852 will be presenting our annual Flag Day Ceremony on June 10, 2017 in the Eagle’s Nest Ballroom at PebbleCreek.
The ceremony is open to the public and will begin at 10:00 a.m. Mark your calendar and plan to attend. This flag ceremony is a tradition with the Elks which began in 1907. It is an educational ceremony to benefit all youth, parents, families, veterans and guests.
The history of our great flag will be presented in an educational format, complete with era pageantry. Eight flags from different eras will be presented and songs of each era will be sung.
The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks promotes patriotism and Americanism through involvement with youth, veterans and other groups. The order contributes time and money to many educational and community-minded programs in Arizona and throughout the nation.
