Flag Day ceremony at Eagle’s Nest

In honor of Flag Day, Raceway Elks Lodge No. 2852 will be conducting a Flag Day ceremony. Mark your calendars! The celebration is Saturday, June 11, 2016, at the PebbleCreek Eagle’s Nest Ballroom, 3645 Clubhouse Dr., Goodyear, Arizona 85395, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

The ceremony is open to the public. Come join us! The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks promotes patriotism and Americanism through involvement with youth, veterans and other groups. The order contributes time and money to many educational and community-minded programs in Arizona and throughout the nation.

Flag Day was actually a tradition which the Elks began in 1907 and was later adopted by Congress as an official observance. It’s an educational ceremony to benefit all – youth, parents, families, veterans and all guests. Everyone is invited.

The history of our great flag will be presented in an educational format, complete with era pageantry. Eight flags from different eras will be presented and songs of each era will be sung. It is truly a celebration not to miss!
