It started with a few folks sharing info on local fishing and now PC has its own “official” fishing club. Having enjoyed striper, catfish, crappie, bass and trout fishing in northern California I was amazed at the readily available local spots to “partake” of this amazingly fun sport.
When one arrives however at a new location it could take a long time to figure out where to go and when. Sort of like reinventing the wheel! Then I ran into Wayne Bixler! His fishing license actually says “pioneer” on it. With Wayne’s help as well as other PC residents who “know these waters” the club now plans/implements trips to our local areas. Arizona Fish and Game stocks myriads of lakes/ponds.
Add to that the numerous lakes within short drive times and you have another great activity for those of us lucky enough to call PC home. The club meets at 7:00 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month in the Milan Room at TF (may have to move to a larger room?). Feel free to contact me at [email protected] to be added to the mailing list. For those residents that do not know how to fish but want to learn, let us know and join the fun. We have folks to help you along to get out there and catch the big ones!
