Our PebbleCreek Community Church Chaplains Ministry will once again be holding a “Finding JOY in Lifestyle Changes” six-week session to help those who have recently lost a loved one to share their feelings with others, learn more about the grieving process and discuss how to help direct thoughts and actions during this time.
Subjects to be discussed are Understanding the Grief Experience, Handling the Difficult Emotions of Grief, Remembering the Person Who Died, Managing the Stress of Change, Preparing for Special Occasions and Finding Meaning After Loss. These sessions will be held in the Activities Center at Eagle’s Nest in Room 100 on Tuesdays at 1:30–2:30 p.m. on the dates of October 2, 9, 16, 23 and November 6. These sessions are open to any in our community who feel this might help them work through a difficult season of their lives. Past participants have commented on how much these weekly sessions have helped them.
Since sessions are limited to eight participants, we encourage anyone suffering from a loss of a loved one to register to participate in these group sessions by contacting PebbleCreek resident Edna DeFord at [email protected] to reserve a spot.
PebbleCreek Community Church is a non-denominational church that meets in the Eagle’s Nest Ballroom each Sunday at 9:00 a.m. We welcome all who would like to experience a friendly church for a scripture-based worship service.
