It’s all a buzz, the excitement is building, everyone is talking about the Art Walk 2016, and why? Because this year’s event will feature a special exhibit, The Art of Recycling
In early spring, the PebbleCreek Art Club presented a challenge to its membership. The idea—to create a visual masterpiece utilizing at least 75% recycled materials to demonstrate how everyday trash can be transformed into a stunning piece of art.
This annual PCAC event challenged artists to adjust their creative vision to imagine everyday objects as components of art, to look at trash and things we normally throw away, through a new lens. All art club members were given the opportunity to think “outside the box,” step out of their comfort zone, dare to be different and express a hidden piece of their creativity. We are proud of the many artists who accepted the challenge and are so excited to present this extraordinary exhibition.
In addition to the Art of Recycling exhibit, there will be the usual display of artworks by over 40 artists. All mediums will be represented and the art will be available for purchase. There will be a cash bar from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. with cheese and cracker snack plates and wine and other spirits available.
The PebbleCreek Art Club cordially invites all residents and their guests to attend this exciting exhibition; admission is free and attendees will be able to vote for the People’s Choice award.
