The PebbleCreek Cercle Francais celebrated the Christmas holidays with its annual Fête de Noel on Sunday, Dec. 8. Games were played, carols were sung in French, and laughter rang out. During dinner in the Palm Room, the group discussed Christmas Eve traditions from their homes both in Europe and Canada as well as the U.S. A good time was shared by all as they told stories of the traditions of their youth and of their families today. Like this evening, almost all the memories were centered around special foods. That’s a French tradition in itself!
The club meets the first and third Tuesdays of each month. Members are asked to converse in French for two hours while enjoying each other’s company along with wine and treats. The group welcomes new members. If you are interested in practicing your French with the members, call George Philippon at 623-536-5901 for more information about the meetings.
