Plans are underway for the next gathering of the Men’s Christian Fellowship of PebbleCreek (MCFPC) scheduled for Wednesday, April 6, at 7:30 a.m. in the Tuscany Falls Chianti Room. The MCFPC meets the first Wednesday of each month with a guest speaker providing insight on a variety of topics. The next speaker is Jamie Mayer, who hails from Pocatello, Idaho.

After graduating from Idaho State University, Jamie returned to operate the family farm where he raised potatoes, grain, and hay. Jamie trusted Christ as his Savior as a young boy at a small Baptist church. Early in their marriage, he and Colleen attended a Christian conference where a seed was planted that would lead to a major change of direction in his life.

After 35 years of farming, with the encouragement of Colleen, he enrolled at Liberty Seminary, where he received a masters of arts in religion. He graduated and celebrated his 60th birthday in the same year. After serving as an assistant pastor, he planted and pastored Seasoned by Grace Fellowship for seven years. This was the fruition of that seed that was planted many years earlier.

Jamie will be sharing how the Lord led him from being a farmer of the soil to a farmer of souls. He will be referencing some of the encouraging things he has learned from his favorite Old Testament example, Moses.

Jamie and Colleen raised their three children near American Falls, Idaho, and the Mayer family now includes 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The Mayers moved to PebbleCreek in February of 2021.

The March speaker was David Pautsch, who provided insight into the Lord’s power in the midst of challenges and opportunities in his talk entitled “God’s Overcoming Grace…Start To Finish.” All men of PebbleCreek are welcome and invited to enjoy a cup of coffee and start their day with Christian fellowship.
