Farewell to Sue White after 16 Sweet Years

D Hammond

After 16 years of teaching water fitness classes at PebbleCreek, Sue White is retiring. Her retirement party was held on Oct. 29 at the Tuscany Falls pool. Dozens of her students, both former and current, showed up to give her a proper sendoff with a singing telegram and many gifts and cards.

Sue has been certified to teach water fitness for over 37 years, often attending international certification events here in the U.S. to stay current. She taught parttime back in Wisconsin when she was still working as an insurance broker. She learned and taught many different styles including classic water fitness, deep water fitness, and Tabata.

She moved to PebbleCreek 20 years ago with her husband, Jerry, and has been a treasured instructor here ever since. She looks forward to spending more time with Jerry, her three stepchildren, and five grandkids as well as pursuing her many other interests here including Mah Jongg, golf, and being involved with the annual Wisconsin Party.

Word has it that the teacher became the student as she was spotted enjoying the water fitness classes of some of the other fitness instructors. Thanks, Sue, for the many years of fun and fitness. Enjoy your retirement!
