The PebbleCreek Art Club has a wonderful artist named John Peehl who is exceptional in this medium. He was juried and accepted into the International Society of Scratchboard Artists in 2012 as an active member.
After seeing a fabulous photo of a white tiger taken by the award winning photographer Kathleen Reeder, he obtained her permission to use the picture of the White Tiger. She liked the final work so much that she bought the original and commissioned him to do the lion on the cover of her new book.
He displays in the Creative Art Center periodically and will be displaying in November so come and take a look.
