The first meeting of a new season begins Wednesday, Oct. 5 for the Men’s Christian Fellowship of PebbleCreek (MCFPC). The MCFPC meets the first Wednesday of each month from October through April, and features guest speakers on a variety of timely topics. Meetings begin at 7:30 a.m. with complimentary coffee in the Tuscany Falls Chianti Room.
Special guest will be Glen Lavy, who has served a variety of roles with Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), currently serving as corporate counsel. He oversees corporate issues protecting the ministry from all legal and non-legal threats.
Glen acquired a bachelor’s degree from Baptist Bible College (now Clarks Summit University) and a J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1990. Glen and his wife, Rebecca, moved to Scottsdale in 2001 for his work with ADF. They attend Immanuel Bible Church where the entire family is involved in ministries. Rebecca is a retired Ob-Gyn who closed her practice to homeschool their three adopted children. ‘God’s Amazing Grace’ will be the topic for his message to the Fellowship group. “I plan to give an overview of some of Alliance Defending Freedom’s recent and current significant litigation and some of our programs that are designed for generational impact,” stated Lavy. His personal story includes alcohol abuse and going from being a carpenter to a lawyer.
All men of PebbleCreek are welcome and invited to attend. The Tuscany Falls Chianti Room is located between the Ballroom and the library. For more information, contact President Igor Shpudejko at [email protected] or 602-384-6496.
