Staying indoors in the heat? Select a book or two by a PC author. You might want to start a new book club this summer—reading books by truly local authors! There are so many authors to choose from. Of course, you’ll want a unique bookmark to mark your place. No need to speed read this summer.
Don’t forget your Gallery exercise program, squats to review items on low shelves and stretches to reach for items up high. Then, lap the Creative Arts Center to check out the display windows throughout the building, highlighting the work of the glass artisans, wood carvers, painters, fabric artists, and ceramic crafters. It’s the perfect summer workout—plan for a weekly venture to the Gallery and bring some friends along for the fun!
