Rayma Scalzo
Our Alzheimer’s/Dementia Caregiver Discussion Group will have a special presentation on October 15 at 9:30 a.m. We will be having a panel presentation and discussion on Exploring your Options for Care. Presley Reader owns and operates ComForCare Home Care, which provides in-home caregiving services and is the host of Aging in Arizona, a weekly radio program on which he interviews leaders that are focused on aging-related issues. He also volunteers as a speaker for the Alzheimer’s Association, has a Master’s degree in Public Administration and previously worked at the White House. Also on the panel will be Teri Sellers, owner of Golden Assist Senior Placement Services. Teri has almost 30 years’ experience in senior healthcare and housing, was the Education Coordinator for the Oklahoma Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association and has twice presented at the National Alzheimer’s Conference. The panel will focus on all transition options for dementia patients and will be highly interactive. So bring your questions!
Respite Care
We may be able to provide free respite care for those having Alzheimer’s/Dementia disease. This allows the caregiver the opportunity and peace of mind to attend the discussion group meeting. If you let us know, we will try to arrange for someone to come to your home during the two hour meeting. For this assistance, we do ask that you RSVP by Thursday, October 13.
Monthly Breakfast
The caregivers meet for breakfast on the first Saturday of each month at 9:00 a.m. This gives them an opportunity to get to know each other on a more personal level. Knowing others who are going through the same journey is very beneficial.
Please Note:
Our meetings are for Alzheimer’s/Dementia caregivers only. For the location of the meeting or to RSVP for respite care, please contact Rayma at 623-935-1819 or send an e-mail to [email protected].
