Southwest Valley Literacy trains and certifies you to teach English to non-English speaking adults in our community. We have been doing this important work for 41 years! You will make a difference in someone’s future by giving them the gift of language.
Southwest Valley Literacy Association has over 50 adults on the wait list for English language training. This is a chance to give back to your community and help change a life.
It is a two-hour once-a-week commitment and brings to you the fulfillment of a lifetime. You do not need to speak any other language than English, nor do you need teaching experience. Upon completion of the two workshops you will be certified by ProLiteracy America as an ESL tutor.
