On Oct. 7, family, neighbors, and friends of Penny and Brad Hexdall gathered at the Goodyear Fire Station on the Tuscany Falls side of PebbleCreek to recognize the EMT crew that responded to their 911 call on June 14. As Penny said, “the crew was at our home in record time and immediately began resuscitation for my husband Brad. Without their quick response and continuous lifesaving procedures, my husband would not be here today. Their fast, efficient, and professional actions made it possible to get Brad to the hospital quickly so he could have the procedure needed to treat his massive heart attack, known as ‘the widow maker.’ We are very thankful for these first responders who serve just 5 to 10 minutes away. They truly are part of our community.”
