Election Essentials – October 2023

Meet the Candidates for the HOA Board

Susan Knox Wilson

Jack Gregory and Mike Rico are the two candidates in our Fall 2023 election. The candidates are vying for a two-year, resident-volunteer position on the PebbleCreek Homeowners’ Board of Directors, beginning Jan. 1, 2024. A director’s duties and responsibilities are described in Article V Section 2 of PebbleCreek’s CC&Rs, which are posted on the PCHOA website.

You’ll have a chance to learn more about the candidates and their platforms in the coming weeks. First, plan to attend one of the Meet-the-Candidates Forums on Wednesday, Oct. 25, and look for our special Election Information in this issue of the PebbleCreek Post.

All homeowners are encouraged to participate in one of the Meet-the-Candidates Forums on Wednesday, Oct. 25. Two forums will be held:

* Live at 2 p.m. in the Eagle’s Nest Ballroom

* Virtually (via Zoom) at 7 p.m. Details about logging into the 7 p.m. forum will be published in PebbleNews.

Both forums will include information about the voting process, opening remarks by each candidate and Q&A from the audience. At the conclusion of the Q&A, candidates will have two minutes apiece for closing remarks.

“Our Election Committee organizes these forums to provide homeowners with an opportunity for dialogue and respectful, bona fide inquiries to clarify candidates’ positions on issues that serve the greater good of the community,” said Cliff Crooks, committee chair.

For the seventh year, our HOA Board election will be managed by VoteHOANow.com, which proved to be quick, easy to use, and yielded an outstanding turnout for PebbleCreek elections. On or about Oct. 30, registered homeowners will receive an email from the VoteHOANow voting site, asking them to vote online anytime during the fall PCHOA election period, which begins Monday, Oct. 30, and ends at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10. (Please note that if you prefer using a paper ballot, you must request one, in person, from the Eagle’s Nest front desk during the active election period. No paper ballots will be mailed.)  Watch for more details about the voting process as we near the election period.
