Meet the Candidates for the HOA Board
Susan Knox Wilson
The candidates are vying for a two-year, resident-volunteer position on the PCHOA Board of Directors, beginning Jan. 1, 2021. A director’s duties and responsibilities are described in Article V, Section 2, of PebbleCreek’s CC&Rs, which are posted on the PCHOA website.
You’ll have a chance to learn more about the candidates and their platforms in the coming weeks. First, plan to attend one of the Meet-the-Candidates forums on Oct. 29, then look for our special Election Insert in the November issue of the PebbleCreek Post.
All homeowners are encouraged to participate in one of the Meet-the-Candidates forums on Thursday, Oct. 29. Forums will be held virtually at 10 a.m. and at 7 p.m. Details about logging into the forums will be published in PebbleNews.
The forums will be conducted on Zoom and will include information about the voting process, opening remarks by each candidate, and Q&A from the audience. At the conclusion of the Q&A, candidates will have two minutes each for closing remarks.
“Our Election Committee organizes these forums to provide homeowners with an opportunity for dialogue and respectful, bonafide, inquiries to clarify candidates’ positions on issues that serve the greater good of the community,” said Gordon Seaman, committee chair.
For the fourth year, our HOA Board election will be managed by www.VoteHOANow.com, which proved to be quick, easy to use, and yielded an outstanding turnout for the last three elections. On or about Nov. 10, registered homeowners will receive an email from the VoteHOANow voting site, asking them to vote online anytime during the fall PCHOA election period, which begins Tuesday, Nov. 10, and ends at 5 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 24. (Please note that if you prefer to use a paper ballot, you must request one in person from the Eagle’s Nest front desk, during the active election period. No paper ballots will be mailed.) Watch for more details about the voting process as we near the election period.
