PebbleCreek’s Election Committee manages the process by which homeowners will select a leader this fall to fill a two-year, resident-volunteer vacancy on the PCHOA Board of Directors.
The PCHOA Election Committee, consisting of six volunteer residents, is responsible for conducting elections on behalf of the PCHOA and, this year, introduced online voting. The committee is responsible for notifying homeowners of election procedures for both online and paper balloting, counting ballots, tallying votes, declaring a winner and presenting the winning candidate to the board.
Each year, the board appoints an election committee chair who serves a term of two years. Upon approval by the board, the chair may serve for subsequent terms.
The members of the 2017 election committee are Gordon Seaman, chair; John Gimon; Rosemary Holmes; Arlis Legler; Laura Measles and John Mitchell.
“Our election committee has done a sensational job of finding and introducing a completely new voting system that will be more convenient for everyone and hopefully encourage more residents to participate. We truly owe them a great deal of gratitude for all their efforts,” said Bob Parks, who is the board vice president and board liaison to the election committee. “We are extremely confident that the residents will embrace this new voting technology, so that more of the community will be represented in the election process. Hopefully the next election, with more community participation, will help keep us moving PebbleCreek forward with the many new challenges and opportunities the community will no doubt face.”
