At the next scheduled meeting in January, the PC Democratic Club is pleased to welcome Scott Jarrett, Maricopa County Elections Director. With the 2024 election now less than a year away it is vital that we gather the information we need to be effective voters in Arizona.
As Elections Director, Scott has many responsibilities. Overall, he is responsible for the entire election process and directs the operations of the Elections Department. He liaises with the Board of Supervisors, county leadership, and community members to keep them up to date about election operations and issues. He testifies at legislative and court hearings and does interviews with the media. He makes sure that partnerships are maintained with the Recorder’s Office, governing bodies, regulatory institutions, and community organizations.
Scott has many years’ experience as an auditor with Maricopa County prior to which he served four years in the Coast Guard. He graduated from Arizona State University with a B.S. in Accountancy, Magna Cum Laude. The PC Democratic Club is looking forward to hearing what Scott has to say about the current workings of the Elections Department and the upcoming election.
