In March 2026, the members of the PebbleCreek Democratic Club donated over 1,400 infant care items to Luke Air Force Base’s “Bundles for Babies” program. The Bundles for Babies program supports active-duty military families caring for their new babies.

The over 1,400 items donated included 922 diapers, 155 onesies, 94 pairs of socks, 63 towels, 33 blankets, and numerous other infant care items.

This donation was coordinated through the Democratic Club’s Veterans Service Committee Co-Chairman Bob Wiedower who said, “We are honored to help the airmen of Luke Air Force Base. Providing items for their Bundles to Babies program is just one of the ways the PebbleCreek Democratic Club supports these families.”

Honoring Our Flag

Also in March, Co-Chair of the PebbleCreek Democratic Club’s Veterans Service Committee, Bob Weidower, joined with airmen from Luke Air Force Base and assisted the VFW Pat Tillman Memorial Post 40 in the dignified retirement of American flags that had reached the end of their service life. Over 1,000 flags were honored and appropriately retired.

Flags that are frayed, faded, or in any way flawed should not be displayed. If you have a flag that is no longer appropriate to display, please deliver it to an Ace Hardware, your local VFW Post, or contract the PebbleCreek Democratic Club’s Veterans Service Committee, who will ensure it is honorably retired.
