October PC Democratic Club Newcomers’ Gathering brings together food, wine and comradery.

On Sunday, October 14, members of the PebbleCreek Democratic Club Social Committee and Executive Board hosted a Newcomers’ Welcome Gathering at the home of Janet and Roger Race. Despite severe showers the day before, we were lucky to share a beautiful afternoon of wine, appetizers, desserts and comradery. Those who came as newcomers left as friends.
This was our first Newcomers’ Welcome Gathering since May. The club initiated these gatherings in February and we will have them monthly, except for the summer season when so many of our residents leave.
These smaller, more intimate gatherings introduce our newcomers not only to each other but also to some of our “longer-time members” who serve on the Executive Board and the Social Committee. Due to the large number of newcomers that have joined our club, invitations were extended to those who joined during the summer. New members who joined in September and October, and anyone who has not yet attended a Welcome Party, will be invited to the next gathering.
