The PebbleCreek Democratic Club held its annual Holiday Party on Sunday, December 13, 2015, as over fifty members came together at the home of Hermine and Les Sulzberg. As in years past it included a delicious variety of appetizers, salads and too many tempting desserts. In addition to bringing together long-standing members, the party gave us a chance to welcome ten new members to our club.

The party was also an opportunity to kick off our annual fund drive to support the local charity selected by our Community Benefit Committee. Raffle tickets were sold with the winning ticket receiving a wonderfully crafted gift basket. Including generous individual cash donations and a matching club donation of $300, almost $725 was raised just from those attending the party. In the end Esther Schatz had the winning ticket and walked out with a basket full of great things to eat, drink and use around the kitchen.

The Community Benefits Committee is chaired by Irene Manalili and includes Ann Mason, Beth Kramer and Frankie Veltri.

President Bart Alford recognized all those whose contributions have made the past year a success with a small holiday gift. Those recognized are Bob Conley, vice-president, Irene Manalili, secretary, Cathy Lindstrom, treasurer, Cynthia Bush, member-at-large and program facilitators Flora Conley, Book Club and Judy Hart, Monthly Luncheon.

The PebbleCreek Democratic Club is open to all PC residents regardless of party affiliation and meets September through April on the first Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the Tuscany Ballroom.
