The Women’s Giving Circle (TWGC) hosted the first “Date with a Plate” event in January and is thrilled to announce that funds from ticket sales and the silent auction totaled over $4,000—all of which was donated directly to the Agua Fria Food Bank.
The full operating costs, including hors d’oeuvres, were covered by very generous sponsors without whom the event would not have been possible. Those sponsors included Donna Strand, Realty One Group; Bobbi Young, The Rodney Jackson Co.; and Mariana Chavez, State Farm.
Close to 200 TWGC members and guests gathered over hors d’oeuvres and cocktails to mingle with each other, bid on silent auction items, and gather inspiration from beautiful table settings conceived and created by our talented exhibitors. In some cases the tables were group efforts—in all cases they were wonderful. Our team leads were Jean Bee, Shannon Brady, Phyllis Breitenborn, Meg Chrisman, Sheryl Dobbin, Beverly Drury, Barbara Goodpaster, Ada Gregory, Regina Demian Mamer, Marie Randall, and Lil Wattenberg.
The Women’s Giving Circle was excited to bring this event to PebbleCreek and is grateful for such generous support from our community. The Agua Fria Food Bank has been serving the West Valley since 1981—it is older than PebbleCreek!—and it was an honor to support their growing outreach.
