The morning of Sept. 21 found five couples from the PebbleCreek Corvette Club heading off for a four-night stay in Durango, Colorado. After stopping in Flagstaff for breakfast they continued on through Tuba City and on over to Durango. That evening everyone enjoyed dinner at Chimayo Stone Fired Kitchen. The next morning they headed up the Million Dollar Highway to Ridgeway and around to Telluride, where they took the gondolas to Mountain Village. After leaving Telluride we headed for Dolores and back to Durango. It was late enough that some of the fall colors were out, making for a beautiful ride. The following days found members enjoying the Silverton train, Ouray Box Canon Falls, Mesa Verde National Park, along with other attractions.
On Thursday evening we all gathered again for our last night’s dinner at Mamma Silvia’s Italian Kitchen. We all shared our experiences of our trip over a very delicious meal. Friday found some members heading for home while some headed to other destinations.
