Our friends at TAD Management regretfully reported that the Steve March Tormé tour has been canceled, including the show scheduled here in the Renaissance Theater on Oct. 11. All tickets will be refunded to the original form of payment. We are pleased to share that we have been able to secure an incredible replacement show, The Troubadour Experience – George Strait Tribute to take place October 11. This show delivers a list of up to 60 #1 hits that encompassed the unmistakable sounds that made George Strait the “King of Country Music.” From the moment the first sounds of the fiddle and steel guitar kick off “Deep in the Heart of Texas” you are instantly pulled into a concert re-creation like no other. As if the uncanny resemblance and body language was not enough, once you hear the first few lines sung, you know this is the real deal and you are in for a treat! Memories will come rushing over you with hits like “All My Ex’s Live in Texas,” “Fool Hearted Memory,” “Ocean Front Property,” “The Fireman,” “Amarillo By Morning,” “Marina Del Rey,” “The Cowboy Rides Away” and the list goes on. Members of The Troubadour Experience are no stranger to the big stage. They have opened for and been members of National Acts such as The Gatlin Brothers, Tracy Lawrence (4 times), Pat Green (2 times), Mark Wills (2 times), Gary Allan, The Bellamy Brothers, Tracy Byrd, Chris Ledoux, Deana Carter and Blackhawk to name a few. Tickets go on sale Wednesday, Aug. 21 online and n the Activities Office. $25.
