Community Services Patrol – October 2014

October will be a very busy month with the advent of homeowners returning from summer travels and the kick-off of a number of fall activities.

October 11 is the annual Parking Lot Sale. It has been moved from the Eagle’s Nest Clubhouse parking lot to the Tuscany Falls Clubhouse parking lot. With this move we have had to make some mandated changes to traffic flow and parking during the event. Please observe all signs and the Patrol directing traffic. All vendors must display a vendor’s placard on the dashboard of their vehicles to enter the exhibit area. Vendors must use the far west driveway entrance off of Clubhouse Drive that leads directly to the sales office and is just west of our Arts and Crafts Building. Once again, be attentive to the signage in the roadway and the direction(s) provided by the Patrol staff assigned to traffic duties.

Vendors (those having purchased a space) 6:00 a.m. set-up

Sale opens at 7:00 a.m. for residents and 8:00 a.m. for the public.

Parking

Those persons requiring Handicap parking will need to enter the far west entrance to be directed where to park.

There will be no parking on Clubhouse Drive from Sarival North to Sarival South. This area must be left open for emergency vehicles.

There is no parking on either side of 161st Drive.

Parking is permitted on the west side of Sarival South.

Parking is permitted on the west side of Sarival North.

Parking is permitted on both sides of Clubhouse Drive west of Sarival South

The parking lot in front of the main clubhouse is open but must be entered via Clubhouse Drive. Note: The Sarival North entrance to the clubhouse will be closed to traffic.

Registering Vehicles/Golf Carts and Bicycles

Many of those returning may have purchased new vehicles this last summer. Remember that all autos, golf carts, motorcycles and bicycles must be registered. Stickers are made available at both the Eagle’s Nest and Tuscany Falls front desks at no charge. RFID passes are vehicle specific so if you changed vehicles or purchased a new one, you’ll need to set an appointment to have new RFIDs installed and that begins with stopping by either of the front desks at Eagle’s Nest or Tuscany Falls. Beginning on Saturday, October 4 RFID installation appointment days will be Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Golf Carts and Traffic Rules

As a reminder, golf carts must obey the same laws as an automobile. Every year we have a few accidents between cars and golf carts. Most accidents occur because someone ran a stop sign, wasn’t paying attention, or speed was involved by one or both vehicles. Golf carts and bicycles typically don’t fare well in collisions with motor vehicles. Out of simply courtesy and respect for our neighbors and everyone in the community, let’s observe all traffic control devices (stop signs, speed limit signs, etc.) and all signage throughout the community to include all entry gates.

Welcome home!
