Community Services Patrol introduces new patrol vehicle

Jim Brown

PebbleCreek residents may notice a new vehicle patrolling the community with new artwork. The current Patrol fleet consists of Ford pickup trucks with very distinctive vehicle wrap consisting of multiple shades of red and orange. Typically Patrol replaces one of four vehicles every year and, in alternating years, two vehicles due to the mileage which results in higher maintenance costs. In an effort to reduce fuel and maintenance expenses, Community Services Patrol has purchased a 2015 Honda FIT which provides excellent fuel economy and an outstanding level of reliability while offering considerable cabin storage for traffic cones and some other general equipment. The vehicle is listed as a “subcompact hatchback” and it was rated a No. 1 pick in the Consumer Reports Buying Guide 2014 for its reliability. More recently the Honda FIT was the subject of a glowing evaluation which was published in the Cars section of the Arizona Republic newspaper on Sunday, November 9. The new vehicle is white in color and bears new PebbleCreek oriented artwork; however, though substantially less dramatic in its appearance, it is distinct and professional in its design.
