Our Mission Committee of PebbleCreek Community Church is again partnering with local churches to provide holiday meals through Agua Fria Food and Clothing Bank.
Throughout the year, Agua Fria assists with food and clothing for those in need. Thanksgiving and Christmas are an especially difficult time for these families and we need your help. Our goal for 2018 is 500 Thanksgiving meals and 800 Christmas meals. Our PebbleCreek Community has always been generous in providing food, volunteer time and donations. We believe this will be true again this year as you share your blessings with others.
Volunteer Opportunities
Donate food: Food collection containers will be placed in the Eagle’s Nest Clubhouse by the Pro Shop from November 1 to December 15.
Canned Foods: cranberry sauce, green beans, corn, chicken broth, gravy (turkey/chicken) and canned fruit
Dry Goods: stuffing mix, instant potatoes, pinto beans and rice (one-pound bags).
Frozen turkeys (any size) can be donated directly to Aqua Fria Food Bank (405 E. Harrison Drive, Avondale, AZ 85323; 623-932-9135).
Families receive canned food/dry good items, a frozen turkey and available fresh items such as fruit, vegetables and bread/desserts.
Volunteer to help distribute food baskets: To volunteer, contact Susan Preston ([email protected]) or Phylice Walton ([email protected]). You can also sign up at PebbleCreek Community Church on Sunday mornings beginning November 4. Our worship begins at 9:00 a.m. each Sunday in the Eagle’s Nest Ballroom.
Financial donation: A check for $50 will feed a family of four. Checks can be mailed to Agua Fria Food and Clothing Bank (405 E. Harrison Drive, Avondale, AZ 85323; 623-932-9135) or brought to PebbleCreek Community Church (Eagle’s Nest Ballroom) on Sundays at 9:00 a.m. Make your check payable to Agua Fria and designate “Holiday Baskets” on the memo line.
