Come and learn a new skill at the Creative Arts Center – Kumihimo.
What is Kumihimo? It is an ancient form of Japanese braiding that was used for dressing the Samurai and is still used today for the Japanese kimono. With Western influence it has expanded to include beautiful cords used for jewelry, interior décor and other complimentary fabric crafts.
The class is taught by Carol Meier, a part-time PebbleCreek resident who has studied the art of Kumihimo in both Hawaii and Japan. She looks forward to introducing this fun and creative craft to the PebbleCreek community.
Sign up for classes in the Creative Arts Gallery. Six monthly classes will be offered beginning December 7, 2016 for the cost of $25.
