Come and learn a new craft; an ancient form of braiding developed by the Japanese that dates as far back as the sixth century. With Western influence it has evolved today to include beautiful cords used for jewelry, interior décor and other complimentary art forms.
The class is taught by Carol Meier, a PebbleCreek resident who studies the art of Kumihimo in both Hawaii and Japan. Carol teaches the traditional art form which is done on a Marudai versus the hand-held foam disc. She looks forward to teaching another year of this fun and creative craft in the PebbleCreek community.
