The Men’s Christian Fellowship of PebbleCreek (MCFPC) is making plans for its next meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 8 at 7:30 a.m. in the Tuscany Falls Chianti Room. The MCFPC is a group of 160 Christian men who meet the first Wednesday of each month (October through April). All men of PC are welcome and invited to attend. Special guest will be Rev. Samuel D. Sacco, M. Div, currently serving as Elder at Lifehouse Community Church in Surprise, Ariz. He will also share his 15 years of experience as spring training Chaplain with the Cleveland Guardians in Goodyear.
In his current role, he is responsible for overseeing the spiritual and functional care of the church. He also serves as an Asst. Professor at Arizona Christian University, Phoenix. His Jan. 8 topic will be from 2 Timothy 2:1-13, ‘Leaving a Legacy: Making Disciples who made Disciples.’
Sam is ordained by the Evangelical Church Alliance and holds an undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice, a Master of Divinity degree from Phoenix Seminary in Phoenix, and a D.Min (candidate) from Grace School of Theology in Texas. He is the past VP of the Free Grace Alliance out of Midland, Texas, which is an organization that helps encourage, equip, and connect Free Grace leaders.
Before retiring with a disability, he served as a police officer for almost 13 years in the city of Garfield, N.J., and lives in Goodyear with his wife of 36 years and has three daughters and two granddaughters.
The December meeting combined a breakfast buffet with a special presentation by Steven Chealander, former military aide to President Ronald Reagan.
