Clay jewelry class had a “blinged out” January

Jeff Wilson

Many of the participants in the January clay jewelry class had never worked with clay or made jewelry before, but you could not tell that by the beaded pendant necklaces they created. Beautiful and sophisticated are but a few words to describe the work of these artists.

Everyone made between five and ten necklaces, some “blinged out” with pieces of recycled jewelry to complement the clay elements, all inspired by the co-instructor Susanne Hill.

Examples of jewelry by Susanne Hill, available for purchase, can be seen in the display cases outside the pottery room and in the Expressions Gallery in the Creative Arts Center.

Sign-up sheets for all pottery club sponsored classes including sculpture, pottery, floral design and non-objective abstract painting can be found in the Expressions Gallery each month.
