Clay Beeson is one of the most active members in the PebbleCreek Billiard Club. A former California resident and United States Air Force veteran, Clay loves studying history, playing golf, and shooting pool with his friends in the Tuscany Falls billiard room.

Besides his great personality and impressive sports skills, Clay is much admired for another reason: He’s 92 years young!

Following eight weeks of competition, Clay has earned the PC Series VIII 8-Ball Pool Grand Championship Tournament by winning 43 games and compiling a total of 52 points. (One point awarded for each game won, plus 3-point bonus for each weekly mini-tournament victory.) For his championship win, Clay received a gift card to a popular local restaurant to share with his wife, Denise.

Jim Sykes earned Grand Championship runner-up honors (38 wins, 44 points) while Harold Erker took third place (39 wins, 42 points). Other tournament contestants included Marv Schrock, Jim Padgitt, Gary Weaver, Mike Finnegan, Joe Armbruster, and Butch Schoen.

Tournaments are played in the Tuscany Falls billiard room Mondays at 2 p.m. 9-Ball tournaments convene Thursdays at 9 a.m. There is no entry fee or cost involved.
